Players have taken their seats for the premier event of the series and the tournament room is already buzzing with action.
There was a special moment as the ShuffleUp team shared a few special words to honour Rudolf Fourie for his contribution to South African poker. They also gifted him an original oil portrait of him at the poker table.
A total of 60 entries have registered so far, including 52 unique players who have bought in to secure their shot at the title.
With late registration still open until Day 2, the prize pool has already climbed to a healthy R637,500 and is expected to grow significantly as more players join the field.
Each player started their journey with a stack of 50K chips, meaning there are currently 3M chips in play across the tournament floor.

The field is already shaping up to be a highly competitive one, featuring a mix of local regulars, seasoned circuit grinders and fresh faces all looking to make a deep run.
