ShuffleUp’s return to Emerald Casino has kicked off in spectacular fashion, crowning its first major champion of the series.

Rudolf Fourie has claimed the prestigious High Roller title, walking away with the trophy and a handsome R400,000 payday after a three-way deal brought the curtain down on the opening event.

As the to tournament reached the final three players, negotiations opened up.

The players were happy to gift Rudolf the crown, while Max and Muaaz locked up second and third place respectively.

The High Roller event set a thrilling tone for the rest of the ShuffleUp Emerald series, drawing some of the finest talent on the South African circuit.

With the first trophy now hoisted, all eyes will be on the next events.

The R5K Mini Main is running with 62 entries after 8 levels, with late registration running until the start of Day 2.

The R12.5K Main Event kicks off on Friday evening at 6PM.
