Just four eliminations separate the remaining 20 players from the payouts, with 16 places set to reach the money.
With blinds at 30000-60000-60000 in Level 21, the room is bracing for a tense march to the bubble as only half the field sits at or above the average stack of 1.5M.
N.M. holds the top spot with 2.9M, carrying a slight edge over brothers T.M. (2.8M) and E.M. (2.54M).
We just had father and son win titles on the same day at the ShuffleUp series at Emerald several weeks ago. Imagine seeing the twin brothers do well for another family success story!
Together, the top three control 27% of the 30,585,010 total chips in play, placing them in a strong position to dictate terms as the bubble approaches.
The field remains tightly packed around the baseline, with 10 of the remaining 20 players sitting at or above the 1.52M average stack.
A.K. and Okkie Fourie head the chasing group on 1.9M apiece, followed closely by David Ng on 1.8M, alongside Neil Barrett and Uri Hartuv who both hold 1.75M.
With only four eliminations required before the tournament reaches the paid places, pressure is steadily mounting across the room.
