The Mini High Roller

An exciting mid-stakes tournament for a wide range of players, we take a look at the overview of the R6K Mini High Roller at the SA Poker Open.

The SA Poker Open 2026 continues its tournament schedule with Event #7, the Mini High Roller, a two-day re-entry tournament offering players a 50,000-chip starting stack and the opportunity to add another 50,000 chips through an optional add-on.

With a R6,250 entry fee, a R3,750 add-on and 20-minute blind levels throughout, the Mini High Roller offers players an opportunity to compete in a mid-stakes tournament format without the R27,000 entry requirement of the accompanying High Roller event.

The tournament begins on Wednesday, 4 November, at 17:00, with play scheduled to resume on Thursday, 5 November, at 12:30.

Fun fact, Jedd Kossew is the current-defending champion, having won this tournament two series in a row!
